The Hyperion Axis2 is a 2-channel eARC audio encoder designed to extract high-bitrate PCM stereo audio directly from a display and distribute it across a Dante or AES67 network.
Axis2 is ideal for both residential and commercial applications such as conference spaces, classrooms and secondary residential zones. Whether you want to stream music to multiple rooms in your home, or extract audio from built-in conferencing/collaboration displays, Axis2 allows you to do this quickly and easily.
When paired with the Hyperion or Director ecosystem of amplifiers and signal processors, Axis2 becomes a powerful building block for scalable, high-performance networked audio systems.
Featuring a compact form factor, PoE capability, CEC volume control, and digital audio inputs with signal-sense switching, Axis2 delivers flexible, reliable stereo audio distribution for modern display-driven AV installations.

Display Driven Networked Audio - Axis2 converts stereo audio from a display into Dante or AES67 network streams, allowing you to share high-quality sound throughout a home or business. It makes it easy to connect display audio to distributed audio systems in remote locations
High-Quality Audio up to 96kHz - With support for high-bitrate audio up to 96kHz, Axis2 preserves the clarity and detail of the original audio source. Whether streaming music or watching live content, you’ll experience clean, accurate stereo audio across every connected zone.
Digital Audio Inputs with Signal-Sense Switching - In addition to eARC, Axis2 includes digital coaxial and optical inputs with automatic signal detection. When audio is present on the digital input, the unit seamlessly switches sources, ensuring uninterrupted audio distribution and providing installation flexibility for a variety of source devices.
CEC Volume Control - Axis series supports HDMI CEC pass-through volume control, allowing users to manage audio levels using the TV’s native remote control. This enables seamless, unified operation without the need for additional remotes or control programming.
